Accepting the challenge as one of the official candidates of Miss Paraw Regatta 2016 for born-Antiqueňa Tarilaye John Beke is the perfect opportunity to showcase the fullness of her beauty. An optimistic lass representing the Province of Antique, she’s excited to prove that women in Western Visayas are talented, confident and capable of becoming good role models to everyone. She believes that beauty pageants such as Miss Paraw Regatta allows them to share their vision of a better society and address issues that concerns the welfare of the youth, our environment and promotion of culture and tourism. She wanted to become the voice of the youth in emphasizing that beauty pageants are more than just a show of skin but rather a showcase of inner vision, personality and beautiful mind.
A tertiary student and campus personality in Iloilo Doctor’s College, Tarilaye shares these inspiring words from her facebook page: “the most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern.”
