Beauty and character are two words that best describes 19-year-old Jezreel Gabasa Galves, one of the 25 official candidates of Miss Paraw Regatta 2016. As the only representative of the Province of Guimaras in the year's pageant, she’s optimistic and confident that she can make her family and friends proud of her new journey.
 Jezreel is currently pursuing the course Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the University of Iloilo -PHINMA. Her passion for public speaking and good communication skills made her win as champion in the ABS-CBN Interschool Newscasting, making her university proud of her achievement. Jezreel is a believer of her dreams and dedicates herself in reaching her goals in life with determination.
 Her most important aspirations in life are to become a Certified Public Accountant or a successful lawyer someday. But she knows that every dream and ambition entails great sacrifice and patience. She believes that joining beauty pageants would allow her to develop her self-confidence, elevate her social life, meet new friends and become a role model to her fellow youth.

Twenty-two-year-old Carmelle Gomez Espia who hails from Janiauy, Iloilo is presently working as a Marketing Assistant in a prestigious bank company. But behind the hectic life of this 5’6 tall Ilongga beauty, she has a burning passion to fulfill her dream in becoming a beauty queen. This lovely lady is more than just a beautiful face but an achiever and believer of hard work, patience and determination to succeed in life. In high school, she graduated first honor; pursued a volunteer work for a youth ministry; became a varsity player in college, and joined various beauty pageants. Her proud parents, Paul and Jenelyn Espia have always been supportive of her personal endeavors and passion.
This year, she decided to continue her passion by joining the Miss Paraw Regatta 2016 amidst her busy schedule. Currently taking-up Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management at the University of San Agustin, Alyne juggles her time between achieving good academic standing in school, being a campus beauty queen and a responsible student leader.
She wants to spend her leisure time creatively by pursuing her passion for blogging, reading sensible articles online and writing short stories. Her future plans include her dream to become a successful fashion designer, run her own charity organization and travel the world someday. She believes her inner strength is a manifestation of her patience, open-minded attitude and positive mindset. And to win the crown as Miss Paraw Regatta, she needs to share her good intentions to inspire her fellow youth, become catalyst of change and realize that beauty should come with a relevant purpose.

Twenty-year-old Marla Mae Baes is a born acheiver and destined to become an ambassadress of goodwill with her determination to succeed in every endeavor in life. Gibbel Marie Erobas: Radiance of an Ilongga Beauty

Gibbel Marie Paramosa Erobas is a 19-year-old Ilongga beauty from Pavia, Iloilo. She stands 5'4 with a vital statistics of 25-34-32. Raised with passion in life by her loving parents, Gibb and Ma. Elma Erobas, Gibbel is gifted with talents like playing the guitar and singing. Her hobbies include beautifying herself and other people by mastering the art of make-up, fashion designing and reading books. Presently, she's taking up Bachelor of Science in Tourism at Central Philippine University.
Aside from her outgoing character, she value her studies more than anything else. In fact, she graduated valedictorian in Bangkok Advent School during her elementary and high school years. Growing up in Thailand has given her the edge to become passionately exposed to various cultures and people. She can speak both Thai, Ilonggo, English and Tagalog fluently. Someday, she dreams of becoming a flight stewardees or a chef for a cruise liner ship.
For Gibbel, she was able to embrace her vision for cultural diversity and experience by joining various competitions including beauty pageants. She believes that women in these modern times should be more expressive and must possess the responsibility to inspire other people positively. Miss Paraw Regatta Unveils 2016 Theme Song Lyric Video


The music of passion, the poetry of legacy and the beauty of timeless radiance unveiled in the lyric video of Miss Paraw Regatta 2016 theme song version online. Produced by RSLPhoenix Music, lyrics written by Ronelo Sanchez Ladiao, music and arrangement by Billy Basinillo. It was first launched in 2015 which was performed by former Miss Paraw Regatta 2015 Queens Janica Ella Hondrade and Ahriana Lovely Huyaban, the song made a mark as the first original theme song for a beauty pageant in Western Visayas. The song officially had its first radio airplay at local radio stations and special feature article in local newspapers last year.

This year, the Miss Paraw Regatta theme song comes back with a new version performed by the 2015 Queens who made a mark in the national beauty pageants namely Miss Paraw Regatta - Earth Iloilo Province - Roxanne Divinagracia who won Miss Filipinas Heritage- Culture 2015, Miss Paraw Regatta Queen - Earth Iloilo City - Jona Sweett and Miss Paraw Regatta - Aliwan - Angela Yagaya who became a Top 10 finalist in both Aliwan Festival Queen and Miss Bikini Philippines last year. The recording production and additional arrangement this year is spearheaded bv Justin Andrew Perlas of Supremacy Records. The video clips and direction was creatively produced by Jehu Rampola and BlueAntz Studio. The lyric video showcases the final 25 official candidates of Miss Paraw Regatta 2016 representing the most beautiful and charming ladies from different provinces in Western Visayas such as Iloilo, Guimaras, Capiz, Aklan and Antique footage taken during the candidates’ first production meeting, orientation and swimsuit photo shoot.
Kuris AMX Multimedia and BlueAntz Studio will produce an official music video for the song which is the Samba-inspired main theme of the 3 versions of the pageant song including Bosa Nova and Pop-Dance Version set for official release soon.

Ms. Paraw Regatta Teases with Regional Screenings


Elevating as Western Visayas' most prestigious and advocacy-inspired beauty pageant, Miss Paraw Regatta 2016 transforms into a much-hype and highly-anticipated event of the year by launching it as a region-wide endeavor since last year. Organized by the Paraw Regatta Foundation, Inc., this year’s Miss Paraw Regatta takes the competition on a higher level and more culturally-uplifting by harnessing not only its potential as a beauty pageant, but as a venue to the promote the unique cultures, vision for ecological preservation and empower West Visayan women who would become effective ambassadress of goodwill, initially supporting the tourism industry and share our cultural values to the world. This year, the pageant screening happened from different provinces and will choose 5 deserving ladies who will represent their respective provinces.
One of the most prominent screenings that took place last year happened at Robinsons Place Roxas Events Center in Capiz last November 29, 2015. The screening gathered 21 hopeful ladies who paraded in their Casual and Playsuit attires convincing our panel of screening judges which include Ms. Paraw Regatta Earth Province and Miss Filipinas Heritage – Culture Roxanne Divinagracia, Ms. Paraw Regatta – Aliwan Angela Yagaya, Ilonggo fashion designer Carlo Simoy and the mall manager of Robinsons Place Roxas. Out of 21 ladies, there were 5 lucky hopefuls who are now officially chosen as the representative of Roxas City and the Province of Capiz in the Miss Paraw Regatta 2016.

The Provinces of Iloilo and Guimaras screening for the Miss Paraw Regatta 2016 was held at the Consejo Hall of Tatoy’s Manokan and Resort on November 30, 10AM. With the same set of screening judges, the two provinces showcased their most charming and gorgeous ladies for a total of 35 screening hopefuls. After the screening, the judges and pageant committee decided to chose 11 official candidates – 5 for Iloilo Province, 5 for Guimaras Province and 1 lady who came all the way from Aklan to represent her province.

The provinces of Antique and Aklan are currently undergoing their screening period and will soon announce an official list of their chosen candidates for the Miss Paraw Regatta 2016. The photography coverage both for Capiz, Iloilo and Guimaras screenings was provided by Ilonggo master lensman, Felipe Uygongco. The Miss Paraw Regatta 2016 pageant chairman and executive producer Salvador “Tres” Solis assisted by production manager Jimmy Bedano, official pageant coordinator head Carlito Aldabon, official designer Carlo Simoy, artistic and creative consultant Edwin Duero, pageant director Bombette Marin and official videographer Jehu Rampola will present a spectacular concept and theme for this year’s Miss Paraw Regatta beauty pageant that would redefine the festival as one of Western Visayas’ best cultural event and pageantry.

The reigning Queens of Ms. Paraw Regatta 2015 who brought honor and pride for Iloilo City and the whole Western Visayas by winning titles from national beauty pageants  Angela Yagaya, Jona Sweet and Roxanne Divinagracia reunited for a special production photo shoot along with the 28 official candidates of Ms. Paraw Regatta 2016 at Tatoy's Manokan in Villa, Iloilo City on Jan. 14. Ilonggo photography master, Felipe Uygongco led the photography session of candidates. The 27 candidates arrived on January 13 to attend their first orientation meeting with the Paraw Regatta Pageant Committee.
