When you look at her you can see an innocent yet optimistic lady, but deep inside her is a strong and confident woman ready to embrace her destiny as one of the official candidates of this year’s Miss Paraw Regatta 2016. Manilyn Laurente, representing the Province of Aklan believes that a beauty queen must possess the passion and the heart to inspire other people. For her, joining beauty pageants in the past is not just about self-fulfillment and expression but a responsibility to become someone who can touch lives. As a campus personality and active student leader, Manilyn never stop learning to develop her talents and potential to succeed in her chosen career someday.
For a few years now, she’s been joining beauty pageants in their province and has been winning beauty titles that make her family proud of her. One of her recent beauty pageant involvements is being chosen as a finalist in Mutya It Kalibo 2016. Bringing the pride of her province to Miss Paraw Regatta 2016 is a rare opportunity for her to promote the region’s cultural heritage and uplift the tourism industry of Aklan as a beauty queen.
