Miss Iloilo Paraw Regatta Launches Region-wide Pageantry


Celebrating the timeless legacy of the oldest sailing competition in southeast Asia in the Philippines, the annual Iloilo Paraw Regatta Festival celebrated every third weekend of February will once again search for its next ambasadress of goodwill who will represent its advocacy and vision for social and cultural elevation. The 2015 Miss Iloilo Paraw Regatta Festival Queen will be choosing its new queen and winners from among the 20 gorgeous and charming ladies viewing for the crown and honor. The 20 finalists were chosen from various provinces in Western Visayas to capture the essence of the Festival as a region-wide international sports competition and cultural event. The series of mall-based competitions will start off with the Talent Competition on February 12, 2PM at SM City Iloilo Events Center. The following day, February 13, 2PM there will be a "Trash to Cash" competition, an eco-friendly showcase of attrires made from recycled materials followed by Swimsuit Competition at SM City Iloilo Events Center. The Long Gown Competition will be held on February 14, 2PM at Robinsons Place Foundation Area. On February 15, 6AM the 20 candidates will attend the traditional mass offering at Villa Church followed by fellowship breakfast and meeting with the local media at Tatoy's Manokan. At 2PM, the Festival Costume competition will be held at Robinsons Place Fountain Area. The Pageant's grand Coronation Night is set on February 18, 7PM at West Visayas State University Cultural Center. This year's Miss Iloilo Paraw Regatta Festival will be the first beauty pageant in the region set to launch its original theme song and music video online before the coronation night. From the winners of this year's Miss Paraw, the pageant commitee will be sending their representatives for Miss Earth- Philippines, Aliwan Festival Queen and Miss World Heritage. Miss Iloilo Paraw Regatta is organized and managed by The Iloilo Paraw Regatta Foundation, Inc. together with the City Government of Iloilo.
